Netmagic Solutions is one of the India's Managed Service Providers specializing in Managed Hosting and Remoter Infrastructure Management Service. Around 500 customers worldwide rely on the company to ensure high availability, seamless performance and security of mission critical Hosted Applications. These are delivered through its carrier neutral Internet data and network operation centers in India and the U.S.
The company was initially focused on offering network-design and implementation-related professional services to the Indian ISP industry and large corporate clients. It became a Managed Hosting service provider in November 2000 when the company opened its first Internet Data Center in Mumbai. In India, the company has two Data Centers in Mumbai, one in Bangalore and one development center in Pune focused on developments in areas of monitoring and process improvement tools. The U.S. center is located at Sunnyvale.
The company currently manages over 3200 devices globally and over 1100 servers and networking equipments in India. From a security perspective, the company has ISO 27001 certification and has also undergone a SAS 70 type II audit.
Netmagic is currently on an expansion move that started in March this year. "We need not worry about the economic slow down in U.S.; it is right time in India for investment. And we are increasingly focusing on Indian expansion by establishing more data centers in cities like Delhi, Chennai and Bombay. We are also looking at acquisitions, particularly in the sphere of application and database management and we are in talks with some companies" says Sharad Sanghi,CEO and MD, Netmagic. On the need of such facilities he says, "Mission-critical data centers are capital intensive. The smaller companies may not have the wherewithal to maintain a separate IT department and retain IT professionals, and may find it difficult to cope with technology obsolescence. Managed IT service providers would take care of these issues."
In March itself, WorldSpace, one of the satellite-based digital radio services providers, chose NetMagic's host of services to enhance the operational efficiency of its customer care and billing application. The company selected NetMagic as their partner in this endeavor.
The company's Managed Hosting and Colocation services include Mission-critical Colocation, Dedicated Hosting, Pemium shared Hosting, Bandwidth and Connectivity Solutions and Services and VPN Integration. At the same time, the Managed Services the company delivers include Mail and Messaging Solutions, Data Backup, Archival and Retrieval Services, Online Storage, Network Security, Load Balancing and OS Management. While services like Network Remote Monitoring and Management, Server Remote Monitoring and Management, Outsourced NOC Services and Outsourced Helpdesk Services come under Remote Infrastructure Management, the company's Professional Services include Datacenter Design, Consultancy and Implementation, Network Design and Consultancy and Implementation. Apart from these, the company provides for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity along with VoIP and Telephony Services and Solutions.
The customer base of the company spans across the verticals like banking and financial services, e-Commerce, education, hospitality, healthcare, IT and ITES, logistics, manufacturing and media.
