With over 19 years of IT experience, Subroto Das has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer, EMC, India and SAARC region. He will be responsible for driving sales in the region and will work towards maximizing productivity and coverage across enterprise and commercial markets in India and SARCC region.

Prior to joining EMC, Das served at Hewlett Packard (HP) where he was Director, Enterprise Storage Business, Asia Pacific and Australia. Also, prior to HP, he held senior sales positions at companies including Cisco Systems and Wipro Infotech. His experience and focus have been on strategic sales management and implementing best practices across various interdependent groups within an organization.

Das believes that fortune plays a major role in achieving a shining career. He says, “Besides working smartly, hardwork and dedication are also key ingredients to be successful.” He feels that a leader should take challenges at the work place in order to meet the customer requirements and growing the different streams of services and products that the company has to offer. He continues, “Team success is the company’s success.” Having strong faith on his principles, Das advises the young technology professionals to be hardworking and focused in delivering the work responsibilities.

Outside work, Das likes spending time with his kids, traveling, and playing sports, especially tennis. He is a graduate from the University of Calcutta and also holds an MBA from FMS, Delhi.
