Plustek introduces SmartOffice PS286 Compact Document Scanner

New Delhi: Plustek, one of the global providers of imaging and communication products, today introduced Plustek SmartOffice PS286 bundled with ACE Office OMR Solution (Optical Mark Recognition).

Targeted at the front office usage of the education vertical - primary / secondary and higher education, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), hospitals, law firms, CPA firms, BFSI, healthcare, government, hospitality industry and service centers, it is a highly versatile and affordable duplex color scanner in the sheet-fed range.

With OMR, Plustek SmartOffice PS286 is capable of reading 25 pages per minute and reads both pen and pencil scripts also. It can convert the output data into MS Excel sheet grids instantly without the requirement of special OMR paper input, which comes at a high price. It can help the schools to print the OMR forms through simple black and white laser printer on normal paper as per their requirement.

ACE OMR costs much lower then the traditional OMR solutions and can be adjusted to the forms of the customers and changed as per the requirement of the user. Plustek scanner with OMR technology is portable and can be easily carried from one place to other. Also one does not need to place order for special OMR form sheets for use. The 50-sheet automatic document tray accepts a variety of documents from business card to legal papers. It is also specially designed for plastic cards such as embossed insurance ID cards and driver licenses. The inbuilt TWAIN and Windows WIA drivers enable the scanner to be compatible with virtually any imaging software. What is more, Plustek's SmartOffice PS286 allows files to be shared over the network as well.
