The SmartTechie organizes Startup City on May 24

Bangalore: The SmartTechie, a Bangalore based IT magazine, is organizing Startup City this Saturday May 24, at Nimhans Convention Center, Bangalore. It's by far the largest and most exciting event of its kind in Bangalore - with more than 50 cool startups showcasing their technology.

At the Summit, Lead India winner Rajendra Mishra will share his entrepreneurial experiences of building three technology companies. India's leading Venture Capitalist Ashish Gupta talks about the challenges of building Junglee.com in the hay days of the dot com era and successfully selling it to Amazon for $230 million. He will also present VC perspective on the entrepreneurial world he sees today.

Other speakers at the event include Kris Gopalakrishnan, CEO, Infosys Technologies; Dr. Vivek Mansingh, Country Manager, Dell India R&D; Praveen Vishakantaiah, President, Intel India and Sharad Sharma, CEO, Yahoo! India.

There will be sessions on: Startup Essentials, From Concept to Success:: Milestones for startups, Consumers and Business Marketing in High Technology, Cloud Computing Experts from Sun Microsystems, Microsoft, Amazon, Nokia will speak at the event. Several VCs like Sequoia Capital, Helion Venture Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Nexus India Capital, DFJ, Ojas Venture Partners, Cannan Partners, IDGVentures and Nasscom Innovation Fund will be present at the event to meet budding entrepreneurs.
